Ohtani. If you want to know where Ohtani is look where the cameras are pointed. They will always be pointed to him. There were even video cameras pointed at a gap between the buildings, just in case he did something. He also seems to be a nice guy. He stopped to sign some autographs on his way into the game. He went over and talked to several of the Angels players. It was interesting because it was without his interpreter. I would bet he speaks English better than he lets on. The really odd part was when he was at bat. When the pitcher would go in his wind up it would get completely silent for about 3 seconds. As is when a golfer takes his swing silent. Every pitch! It was not this way with anyone else, just Ohtani.
Dino. Dino does a LOT! He was helping Mookie take fielding practice, working with Lux on his throwing and pitching BP. After every inning the first baseman would throw the ball into Dino. Dino would hand it through the fence to a kid, and if not a kid then whoever was available.
Glasnow, Saw Glasnow pitch a scrimmage game against the White Sox. Dude is tall, we all know that. Also seems like a nice guy. Signed a few autographs then had to run.
Doc, Doc is really nice. He was watching the scrimmage game and I went up to ask for an autograph. He not only signed the autograph he turned and talked to me. I spent the next 37 seconds making a complete fool of myself. He was completely gracious and cool about it.
Walker is very nice about signing autographs. He was at the scrimmage game too.
If anyone goes to spring training. There are about 6 baseball diamonds around the main field. This is where they will take BP and fielding practice. If you get there about 3 hours early you can see them up close. There is a fenced in walkway from the buildings to one of the diamonds. This is where everyone lines up to get autographs. Most of the players do not stop when walking through here. Some will, but not the superstars. There is no bad seat at Camelback Ranch. They all are close to the action.
