Treasurer Jim Chalmers has criticised the Coalition’s election pledge for small businesses to be able to make $20,000 in tax deductions on entertainment for clients and staff.

"It’s a farce that after almost three years in opposition, this is the best they can come up with," Mr Chalmers told Sy News Australia.

"We’re [Labor] for workers and cost of living help. They’re for taxpayer-funded long lunches and golf days for bosses."
