Trump urges Putin to meet ‘immediately’ to end Ukraine war
US President Donald Trump said he’s ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin immediately to end the "ridiculous" war in Ukraine.
Trump said he thinks Putin wants to meet and is willing to do it right away, pointing out that soldiers are dying every day the war continues.
Speaking at the White House on Thursday, Trump said, "Every day we don’t meet, soldiers are being killed".
Earlier, Trump told the World Economic Forum in Davos (via video link) that he wants to help end the war in Ukraine and reduce nuclear weapons.
Trump also mentioned that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is open to making a deal to end the war.
