Sky News host James Macpherson has reacted to speculation that the Albanese government will work directly with US Democrat-controlled states on climate change initiatives.

“What I don’t understand is the Albanese government are at pains to say we’re going to have a wonderful relationship with the Trump administration, we’re going to get on famously,” Mr Macpherson said.

“Now they’re publicising that what we’re actually going to do is go around Donald Trump and work with the Democrats.”
