Australians ‘overwhelmingly’ believe the country has gone ‘back’: David Littleproud
Nationals Leader David Littleproud has urged Australians to use the “safety valve” of the upcoming federal election to vote in a government which will put the country “back on track”.
“When you look at the streets of Sydney and Melbourne burning, I think Australians are overwhelmingly looking at that and saying we haven’t gone forward, we have gone back,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Australia.
“That safety valve comes in about three months’ time when they get to elect a parliament that reflects their aspirations and their fears and about the opportunities and strength of leadership that is offered to them in making sure this country is put back on track.”
