Newsweek Opinion Editor Batya Ungar-Sargon discusses the Russia-Ukraine war after US President Donald Trump vowed to initiate negotiations between the two countries.

“Amazingly, he (Donald Trump) managed to get Hamas and Israel to the table and has not yet succeeded with Zelensky and Putin,” Ms Ungar-Sargon said.

“He did say in his press conference that he would be willing to impose sanctions on Russia if Putin doesn’t come to the table soon, which to me suggested that the holdup is on the Russian end.”
