Independent MP Dai Le has discussed her experience talking to voters in her electorate of Fowler, saying she has been door-knocking since April last year and the sentiment of residents has not changed, they are still struggling with the cost of living.

"People are still struggling a lot," Ms Le told Sky News host Paul Murray.

"People have said how much they are suffering in terms of mental distress. A lot of them are telling me they have to look for two jobs because energy prices have gone up, insurance prices."
