North Carolina was devastated by Hurricane Helene in late September 2024, while Los Angeles continues to be ravaged by horrific wildfires.

“This is really a big political football right now,” Ms Duke told Sky News host Gabriella Power.

“As Republicans in Congress figure out the best way to ensure that the Californian officials who allowed this to happen are held accountable, while also making sure the people of LA are not punished for their efforts.”
