‘We want more leadership’: Anthony Albanese’s response to rising antisemitism criticised
Liberal MP Keith Wolahan has criticised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s response to the recent spate of antisemitic attacks, claiming the Labor leader "didn’t accept" it was a crisis.
The AFP is investigating whether foreign actors paying off local criminals with cryptocurrency are behind the antisemitic attacks in Sydney and Melbourne.
The investigation comes off the back of the recent National Cabinet meeting on Tuesday to address the rise of antisemitism in Australia.
“We’re talking not just about foreign interference, but we’re talking about foreign interference that is leading to terror on our streets, particularly in the Jewish community,” Mr Wolahan told Sky News Australia.
"That requires national leadership and calling that out … he [Albanese] didn’t accept it’s even a crisis.
"When we criticise the prime minister … we are doing it because we want more."
