Shadow Indigenous Australians Minister Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has defended Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s decision to stand in front of the Australian flag only during press conferences.

“I can’t stress this enough … we are Australian in this country and we’re all represented under the one flag,” Ms Price said.

“For those who are ignorant about our Australian flag and they don’t understand, Indigenous Australians are also represented through that Southern Cross.

“That is what we should be celebrating and standing in front of.”
